Question: What type of writing or particular topics are you looking for? (restaurant reviews, places, events, general commentary, stuff going on, etc.)
Answer: We would like writers to only write about Downtown Phoenix, please visit our Downtown Phoenix Bloggers page for details on writing for DowntownPhoenix.com. As far as topics within downtown go, feel free to write about whatever interests you, whether that be theater or sports or food, etc.
Question: What type of editorial oversight or direction is there?

Question: Can I continue to write under the pseudonym I use in other publications/blogs?
Answer: Yes, definitely. In fact, we encourage you to still maintain your blog and if you want to post blogs from that site on ours, feel free.
Question: Is there compensation or reimbursement involved (e.g., reimbursement for expenses in review of a coffee shop, etc.)?
Answer: There is no reimbursement for reviews or any other activities. Becoming a blogger for Downtown Phoenix is strictly volunteer as we’d like to create and maintain a community that is unbiased.
Question: Is this a paid position or strictly volunteer work?
Answer: The writing gig is solely volunteer but the visibility is great for local bloggers.
Question: Do you allow reciprocal links on the downtown Web site? (i.e. if someone posts a link to downtownphoenix.com on their site, will you post a link to my site?)
Answer: When you sign up to become a blogger, we request you provide a bio with your submission where you can then include a link to your site/blog, as well as any other social sites you belong to.
Question: Can bloggers post things that may be seen as “criticism” of downtown?
Answer: Yes, we encourage all posts and opinions as long as they are respectful and not a personal attack.

Question: How many bloggers are involved?
Answer: There are currently around 40-45 bloggers volunteering – so it is a great and growing community.
Question: When I upload a image to my blog post am I giving Downtown Phoenix rights to re-use my image?
Answer: The image you submit with blog posts will be used only for your specific post, or, to promote your post on our homepage or featured in our weekly newsletter. By posting your image on the blog, you are authorizing Downtown Phoenix to use your image for your post. Periodically, Downtown Phoenix will review photography submissions to determine if they can be used to promote other events and happenings in the area. If your photo flagged for future use, we will reach out to you to obtain the appropriate rights for use. All submitted photographic content is subject for review by the moderator of the blog.
