Dodge Theatre hits 2 million in attendance since 2002

The Dodge Theatre will host its 2 millionth attendee Friday night at the Sesame Street Live “Elmo’s Green Thumb” performance.
Since its first show April 11, 2002, with Harry Connick Jr., hundreds of music acts have headlined at the venue, including David Bowie, Coldplay, Prince, Foo Fighters, Kid Rock and Stevie Nicks.
The Dodge Theatre was the site for George Lopez’s live HBO special in 2007 and the Blue Collar Comedy Tour in 2002, featuring Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, Larry the Cable Guy and Ron White.
Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, Robin Williams, Jamie Foxx, Lewis Black, Jerry Seinfeld, Katt Williams, and Cheech and Chong have performed to sellout crowds at the Dodge.
Upcoming shows include Robin Thicke and Jennifer Hudson (May 5), Styx and REO Speedwagon (May 15), Brian Regan (May 16), Flight of the Conchords (May 19), Queensryche (May 30), Glenn Beck (June 2), Joe Cocker (June 7), George Lopez (June 12-13), Yes and Asia (July 9), 311 (July 10), the Fray (July 14), Il Divo (July 15), Diana Krall (Aug. 5), Ricardo Arjona (September 12), The Killers (Sept. 28) and Ian Anderson (Nov. 3).
